The rooms were spacious and clean, and the calm, luxurious ambience made for a comfortable stay. Staff stayed polite, professional, and helpful throughout. Breakfast had a good variety, and the food was delicious. Great hospitality overall. I'd definitely return and recommend it.

We left Hotel Utsab, Bolpur feeling frustrated. The room rates are very high for the quality and service, and I don't think it's value for money. At checkout, staff said there was a small stain on the bedsheet and made us pay ₹700 as a fine. That felt unfair and unreasonable, and seemed more like an attempt to get extra money than a genuine concern. The staff were also rude, arrogant, and unprofessional. They argued instead of addressing the issue politely, and didn't speak to us properly. Food and other orders arrived very late, and basic services were poorly managed. At these prices, this level of service is unacceptable. I felt there was little respect for guests, with poor service and hidden charges. I'd strongly advise people not to book here; there are much better, cheaper options in Bolpur.

The management's request for a good review really crossed a line. They asked us to leave one instead of listening to our concerns or acknowledging the poor stay, which felt insulting when neither the rooms nor food met even basic standards. The rooms were cramped, poorly laid out, and unbelievably small, with barely enough space to move around or feel comfortable. They were nowhere near worth the absurd nightly price. The food we ordered was bland and poorly prepared, far below what I'd expect at those prices. This was one of the worst hotel stays I've had. It's grossly overpriced and delivers very little. I'd strongly advise others to avoid it unless they're happy spending money on discomfort and poor service.
