OYO 30449 Green Chilli

Parking and the other amenities are available, and Green Chilli can be a good place to stay in Bhubandanga, close to Viswabharati, Shantiniktan, and Bolpur. But the hotel needs to improve several things. At this rate, rooms should be tidier, cleaner, and better furnished, and the toilets need more cleaning too. Room service was unsatisfactory, with every order taking at least half an hour. The employees themselves blamed the number 9 dial, saying they hadn’t been properly informed. We got Mr Debu Dwan’s number to avoid the long waits. The dining hall had the same delays, with orders not arriving on time. I appreciate Mr Purnendu’s efforts, but this part of the hotel still needs improvement. The reception desk wasn’t much help when I asked about a Masanjor-Bakreshwar-Dubrajpur tour. They didn’t seem well informed about the routes or road conditions.

We booked three rooms for a stay with friends and family, and they were placed side by side. Two were decent for the price, but the middle one was so cramped that there was hardly room to walk. Although it had a double bed, it felt like a single-bed room. The staff were kind and polite, and hotel service was quite good. Overall, a good hotel.

The location is close to the biswabharati campus, and the staff were very helpful. For this price range, the rooms are very good, and the current food quality is also good for what you pay. I do feel the food could taste a little better. Compared with other hotels in the same range, I’d give it 4/5.

The rooms feel too small, though room service is good and having access to the terrace is a nice extra. Rates vary with the season and demand: around ₹700 in the off-season feels fair, but at up to ₹2500 during peak season, the price doesn’t quite fit the room size. Better peak-season pricing would make it better value.
