The manager was especially polite, helpful, and attentive, which made our stay even nicer. We found the rooms comfortable, clean, and well maintained, and the food was fresh, tasty, varied, and served on time. The peaceful ambiance was just right for a relaxing getaway. It was a memorable staycation, and we’d definitely like to come back.

The cottage setting is beautiful and full of natural plants, with lovely scenery and a peaceful atmosphere. The pool is beautiful too, and the super deluxe room was good overall. We took both a cottage and a super deluxe room, but room service management needs work, and food and drinks are very expensive. There were lots of mosquitoes in the cottage, so anyone bringing children should prepare for that. The place suits people looking for quiet, though the service and management let it down.

The stay was badly affected by management problems across the property. Staff were dismissive and uncooperative, and there seemed to be no effective oversight. The mini-fridge in our room was broken, and no one showed urgency about fixing it. The pool was murky, dirty, and poorly maintained, with unnecessarily limited access hours. Meals arrived far outside the stated times, and when they did arrive, the quality was very poor for the wait and price. I evaluate hotels, resorts, and tour packages for a living and understand the challenges of hospitality, but Garana Resort Bolpur fell below basic standards in nearly every area. I’d suggest looking elsewhere in Bolpur until management and guest services improve substantially.

The staff were genuinely nice, from the workers to management, and their service and behavior helped make up for a lot of our complaints. The garden has a pleasant ambiance, and it’s a quiet place away from the junction. Getting there is difficult because it feels far from the city centre and the roads are broken. The rooms we received didn’t match the pictures and weren’t very good, and the food seemed lacking in taste and quality. During my visit, the construction quality also fell short of what the location deserves. There’s real potential here, and with maintenance and better decisions it could become a great spot. As things stand, I’d consider it only if other places were unavailable. The pictures promise more than the property delivers. This is just my opinion and others may feel differently, but even if honesty is bitter, it’s true.
