Haveli Braj Bhushanjee Heritage Hotel

The restaurant is a beautiful space, with traditional art and lighting, and there’s a shop on site selling artwork, scarves, shawls and bags. This is Bundi’s first haveli, in a great spot between the busy town and the palace standing just behind it. The staff are wonderful, and the tourist rooms are spacious and clean. Behind the main building, another smaller building rises several floors, with more traditional bedrooms, lovely artwork and distinctive architecture. It belongs on any Bundi tour itinerary.

Braj Bhushanjee Haveli is a beautiful old family home, filled with historical photos of Bundi and original artwork. The owners are lovely and happy to share what they know about the town and its history. It’s tucked into one of the nice backstreets in the old part of town, very close to the palace entrance. We were happy with our spacious room and comfortable bed. I definitely recommend it.

Bundi was fascinating to explore on foot, especially during its annual kite festival, which made the city wonderfully chaotic. We stayed here a few days ago, and the home was beautiful, full of artifacts, paintings and lovely furnishings. Our room was comfortable and warm despite the cold snap in northern India. The host and staff served a fantastic breakfast and a special dinner in the gorgeous upstairs dining room.

We stayed five nights in two ground-floor rooms as a family of five, with three teenage boys. The rooms were clean, spacious and well furnished, with big windows that opened for a breeze. We visited in March; although there was A/C, we didn’t use it because the rooms stayed cool and comfortable. The place is quiet and peaceful, with a nice courtyard to relax in. Staff were friendly and helpful, the owner was great, and breakfast was delicious. The boys especially liked the fresh juice. The location was perfect for walking to everything we wanted to see in Bundi.
