The villa was in poor condition and looked nothing like the photos. We’d paid an advance, but decided we’d rather lose it and move to another villa. Our host, Mr Karan, didn’t seem concerned about our experience and gave us none of the money back.

There was no caretaker around to bring even a glass of water or change the linen, and I didn’t feel the place was safe. The property also looked very different from the pictures, so I wouldn’t consider it suitable for families. In my experience, money was taken in advance and then guests were harassed. Manager Francis and senior manager Anjali were both part of what I saw as fraudulent behavior. Once they had the money, their attitude changed. Please be careful and stay away.

The villa itself is beautiful, but housekeeping needs work. There’s no regular cleaning, and the butler cleans without much care. He doesn’t seem interested in changing the linens, either. The place is missing some basics.

We had a lovely time staying tucked away in this big, beautiful villa, and enjoyed the home-cooked food during our time in Goa during covid. It has a small pool and parking, and sits right in the heart of calangute, close to both the beach and the market.
