Lillywoods Zac Beach Resort

We paid ₹11,000 for two people for two nights, and it felt like a total waste. The online ratings and price don’t match the experience. After one terrible breakfast, we couldn’t imagine eating there again: options were very limited, the coffee tasted like dirty water, and the soggy idlis smelled fishy. It was nauseating. The room was dim and had a pungent smell. The AC didn’t work, and although we told the staff right away, the promised technician never came. The TV wasn’t connected, with no YouTube or Netflix, and the washroom lacked proper toiletries, tissues, or a personal hygiene kit. We’d booked two days of breakfast. Instead of returning there the second day, we ate at Royale Exotica Resort next door. Their food was outstanding and the service excellent, and both breakfasts were consistently amazing. That really highlighted how poor this hotel was. Never again, extremely disappointing.

The staff were cooperative, the food was good, and the view was worth five stars. Since the property is next to the beach, you can enjoy food and drinks while watching the sunset 🌇. The only thing I personally disliked was the wooden interior, which gave the room a sort of smell. It’s hard to find because there’s no direct hotel access, and you have to walk 150 feet along the beach to reach it. That could be a problem for older people, though the stay was nice overall.

Vishakha at reception was the one person who really tried to help. She showed genuine hospitality and even moved us to another room, though the power kept fluctuating and the problem continued. I had to call reception more than 25-30 times about it. One staff member said I was the only one affected, then said the whole area had power issues. If that’s true, it should have been stated on MakeMyTrip before booking. I’ll raise the issue with the property management and MakeMyTrip. The electricity went on and off literally every minute, so the AC kept stopping and the room never cooled properly. In this weather, the stay was very uncomfortable and disappointing. The only other thing going for the place is that it’s opposite the beach, but despite being marketed as a beach property, you don’t really get a proper beach view. It’s more in name than experience, and not worth the money.

We had a nice room and stayed four days with family and friends. The resort is right by the beach, so you can walk 50 meters in the morning and start swimming. There’s no car parking next to the resort, but they can take your vehicle and park it somewhere else. The food wasn’t very good, especially breakfast, and there wasn’t much variety.
