OYO 6129 Rivasa Comfort

We had a terrible stay over the long weekend around 26 January. The rooms weren't clean enough and had no windows, and the hotel is in a congested area with no parking. The room plugs didn't work, and we had to keep following up on nearly every room service request. Even the staff complained about management and seemed unhappy working there. They took the full booking amount before check-in and gave nothing back after we discussed these problems. They seemed overconfident that reviews wouldn't hurt their reputation. You're better off staying somewhere else.

The staff were helpful, especially receptionist Mr. Anirudh, who guided us well and made sure we were comfortable. We spent a happy holiday at Rivasa comfort hotel for three nights. The location is close to all the beautiful places in Goa, and although the room was small, it was surprisingly comfortable. I'd recommend it to anyone wanting to spend time in Goa.

The beach is nearby, and it's a decent place to stay, but check exactly what's included before you arrive. A freezer costs an extra 300 rs, outside the hotel charge. Since this was my third visit, I was able to negotiate better. There are no cupboards or ventilation in the room, and although the staff are good, there's only one attendant for 15 rooms. They advertise a pool, but there isn't one. The TV didn't work, and I kept getting the same answer about a Tata Sky issue. I didn't need those things on my work trip, but have a clear conversation before booking.

Basil Dsouza on the hotel staff was cooperative, understood what was happening, and helped us like family. I suggest promoting him to manage the place, because he has good customer service skills. Manager Bobby Singh, on the other hand, was rude, arrogant, and never apologized or cooperated. I booked a twin deluxe room for my family of four, but they gave us a room for two and put two foot-on-bed mattresses down for the others. The blankets were dusty, torn, and had holes. There was no TV, no hot water, and a bad dead-rat smell near the bathroom. They didn't take card payments, and there was nowhere for guests to sit in reception. During the pandemic, the room and blankets didn't seem properly sanitized, there was no sanitizer at reception, and none of the staff wore masks. My mom vomited several times because of the unhygienic conditions, and we left the hotel right away. Room service was also very poor.
