Renest Calangute Goa

The peaceful ambience and well-kept hotel made our stay relaxing and memorable. Staff were friendly, supportive, and available when needed. In the restaurant, Mr Vikas, Surajit, Satish, and Leena were fast, helpful, and very good at their service. For housekeeping, Mr Manoj and Francis did a very good job with the room. Thanks, we’ll surely visit again.

I appreciated that the hotel took my review seriously and made a real effort afterward. The rest of my stay through checkout was genuinely pleasant, with kind, attentive staff. That helped, but my arrival was extremely disappointing, and I still feel that the way I was treated was unacceptable. I chose this hotel because of its rating, positive reviews, and nice-looking photos. When I checked in, the first thing I was asked in the lobby was where I was from. After I said Russia, a staff member commented about the war in Ukraine in a way that felt personally reproachful. I was surprised and felt uncomfortable, confused, and even angry. In my view, hospitality means avoiding political or religious discussions with guests. There were practical problems as well: my luggage wasn’t brought up, so after waiting a while I had to go downstairs and get it myself. The shower drain worked poorly and quickly flooded the bathroom. When the receptionist changed in the evening, the attitude was noticeably more professional. I believe the problem was with the particular staff working during my daytime check-in, rather than the hotel as a whole.

The hospitality team, reception staff, and security staff all helped make our stay comfortable and memorable. Special thanks to Minakshi, Manoj, Francis, Manga, and Anand for their warmth, dedication, and excellent service. The hotel was clean, the food delicious, and the staff polite, professional, and ready to help. We had a pleasant stay at Hotel Renest, and I’d highly recommend it.

The location is about 2.5 km from Calangute Beach. It can be walked, technically, but with the afternoon heat and traffic a scooty or cab is much easier. My room was clean, comfortable, and well maintained, though it had no balcony. Higher-category rooms seem to include one, so consider upgrading if outdoor seating matters to you. Staff were polite, professional, and helpful. They also accommodated my request for a slightly later checkout, which I appreciated. The hotel has modern amenities, including a pool, spa, and stylish in-house restaurant, making Renest a pleasant, comfortable option for a relaxed North Goa stay. Breakfast had a decent range of options for different preferences, though the taste didn’t quite meet expectations and could be better. The standout detail around the property was its lighting, especially the swan-shaped lights and elegant hallway chandeliers, which gave it a distinctive, premium feel. Renest is a solid choice for a modern, well-designed stay in Calangute. Better breakfast and clearer information about room categories would improve the experience further.
