Route 77 by OYO Rooms

We checked out within half an hour of arriving. Honestly, I’d rather sleep by the road than stay here. I felt it was a stretch to call this a hotel at all. If you want to get back at someone, book them a room here and spend your money on it. Even my phone camera stopped working when I tried to take a picture, so I have no photos. If zero stars had been an option, that’s what I would have picked.

The rooms are small, more like a motel, but they’re cozy enough. The AC and TV work, there’s a mini fridge, and hot water is available around the clock. You can hear traffic and other noises since the rooms aren’t properly soundproofed. Apart from that, it’s a decent place for a reasonable price.

The staff are caring and the service is good, but the rooms are very cramped. There are no clothes hangers, and the towels weren’t very clean. It feels more like a lodge, and the stairs to the first floor are in poor condition. The area is very poor, and the hotel is about 2-2.5km from Colungute beach. There’s an in-house restaurant, but the food quality and quantity don’t justify the price. I wouldn’t recommend it for families or couples. Bachelors on a tight budget could consider it.

We lost 6000 here. Staff asked us to pay the remaining balance before we arrived, then denied that we’d called, even though they knew the exact amount due. We were asked to pay the balance twice. It felt like a complete fraud. Don’t pay before reaching the hotel. They even charge extra for room cleaning, which isn’t provided otherwise. The staff are awful, rude, and don’t respond properly. The rooms are small and only fit two people. They charge for an extra bed but give you only a blanket, so the third person has to sleep on the floor. Zero rating, not recommended.
