Tivai Beach Cottages

The beach here is absolutely gorgeous, and the balcony has a mind-blowing ocean view. The cottages are right next to Tivai beach, with AC and non-AC options. Each AC cottage costs 1800/- and is comfortable for three people. The place isn't among the cleanest cottages I've seen. Hygiene isn't maintained properly, and there's sand all around, including on the extra mattress.

The manager was courteous, and the location is right on Calangute beach. That's about all I can praise. The rooms are dilapidated, and if you're hoping for a pleasant night or decent sleep at Tivai Beach Cottage, forget it. Frogs, termites, cockroaches, and spiders come back into the space. We booked two days but couldn't sleep the first night because of those issues and power cuts, with no backup power. We checked out the next day and found another place. The cottages aren't maintained, termites have infested them, and the washroom isn't sealed properly, so frogs were hopping in. There's basically no service. They don't provide towels, soap, or water. I've lost my trust in Beach Side Cottages.

The beach is only a two-minute walk from the rooms, and the location and room were nice enough to make up for a few missing things. The hotel doesn't provide water, food, or toiletries, though towels are available. Chelesa beach sack was very good and cooperative. Romeo is the person to call if you need help, he's cooperative and always available.

The staff were helpful and can arrange what you need, including rental bikes, trips, and food, at reasonable prices. The shacks are simple but very nice, just a stone's throw from the beach. A wonderful place to stay.
