OYO 3493 Zense Resort

The quieter north end of Candolim beach is about a 7 minute walk away. Walk along the beach a bit and you'll reach the busier stretch, with crowds and water sports. The hotel is in an upmarket area, with good food options within 100-200 meters. Banana leaf, a South Indian restaurant, is downstairs and also serves breakfast for the hotel. The rooms and bathrooms are well maintained, and the rooms stay pretty quiet despite the heavy traffic outside. The hotel and rooms are good, and it was a fine stay.

For under 2k in Candolim, this was one of the best hotels I've stayed at. The washroom was especially clean, and the staff were amazing, helpful, and cooperative when my train was delayed by 10 hours. The young boy at reception was committed to his job and handled guests professionally. My only drawbacks were the pool maintenance and the rather dim room lights. Everything else was good, and I had a great experience.

For a short stay, this place is good. The room came with two complimentary 500 ml bottles and the other necessary amenities, but they charge extra for a dental kit. I was disappointed by the air conditioning and Wi-Fi connectivity.

It was a long weekend, so everything was full and busy. The people serving us were friendly, and the filling breakfast had great vegetarian South and North Indian options. There is parking, and although the pool is mostly there in name, they have made an effort. The poolside seating is nice for tea or coffee outdoors, with a covered area too.
