Goveia Grand Resort

The pool was dirty and unusable, and the food was tasteless, with undercooked rotis. When we raised concerns, the owner, Mansoor, came across as arrogant and dismissive. The staff were slow to respond and made little effort to help. Our room was only average and poorly maintained, nothing like what the online listing led us to expect. The resort needs major improvements in cleanliness, food, service and management. I wouldn’t recommend it until those problems are fixed.

The food and pool added a lot to our visit, and the hospitality made it memorable. Our room was comfortable, the staff were polite and helpful, and the location was great for enjoying Goa peacefully. We had an amazing stay at Goveia Holiday Resort. I’d recommend it for a relaxing trip with family or friends.

The pool-facing rooms are especially nice, and the staff were friendly, cordial and always ready to help. Our spacious room had a geyser, TV and AC, and complimentary water bottles were provided every day. Candolim beach is about a 10 to 15 minute walk away, so the location is only average. The in-house restaurant was very good, with complimentary buffet breakfast and dinner offering lots of choices. The food was delicious, though quite spicy. They can arrange AC cars and sightseeing to suit guests’ preferences. The airport pickup and drop-off were excellent and on time, and the staff were helpful whenever we needed something. It was a decent stay with friends or family. Thanks to all the staff, with special appreciation for Mr Mansur babu. I’d gladly visit again on a future Goa trip.

We booked a three-night, four-day Goa package for eight women through Games of Trips on Instagram. Before we travelled, they sent photos of Goviea Grand Hotel Goa showing a clean room with king-size beds and a nice pool. The room we got was tiny, dirty and nothing like the photos, and the pool had garbage in it. We’d booked a private car, but for the cruise they put us on a shared bus parked 15 to 20 minutes away. Our booked cruise wasn’t available, so they took us on a different one. There were no complimentary drinks, and the food wasn’t good.
