O Hotel Goa, Candolim Beach

Lal took such good care of us during our three-day stay. He was attentive and warm, always serving us with a smile. It made our stay comfortable, and we had a wonderful time.

The direct beach access is handy, and there are two or three premium shacks right next to the property. The hotel sits on Candolim beach towards Fort Aguada, away from Calangute and Baga. It’s a deep, sprawling place with fairly large but old rooms. They have bathtubs, though there aren’t any special views in most rooms. Maybe one or two suites look out to the sea, and even then it’s from a distance. Breakfast was well below average, with too few dishes and choices, and restaurant service was very slow. I feel the hotels on the opposite lane from the beach may be a better pick, since the beachfront hotels all seem similar in quality. Instead of spending 7-10k per night here, I’d choose the Radisson across the road. You might lose direct beach access, but those hotels are newly built and should offer better service and food.

We’re just finishing our stay at o hotel goa. The rooms and the hotel itself feel tired and need refurbishment, and breakfast is limited. The staff are what make the place: service is second to none, and they’re polite and attentive. Siddesh really stands out, constantly making sure everyone is looked after. We’d stay again if it were refurbished.

I’ve had few hotel stays this bad. The food was below average, and hospitality was missing. The staff weren’t helpful and there was no real service. It doesn’t meet basic expectations, and I wouldn’t recommend it.
