Taj Fort Aguada Resort & Spa, Goa

I visited Fort Aguada in 2012 and had a great experience then, but my stay on 5th March 2026 was disappointing. Water was leaking in the rooms and cafeteria, and dripping into the breakfast lounge. The baggi and transportation service weren't good, and they charge for infant food, which I found unacceptable. There were no free activities for kids either. A cousin had a birthday stay at Taj, and they wished him with just one piece of pastry. I worked for TCS a long time ago and felt the TATA group carried a legacy and charm. In recent years, that seems lost. They aren't maintaining the properties and their beauty.

The ocean views were the highlight of my three-day stay at Taj Fort Aguada. The scenery at sunrise and sunset was breathtaking and made the trip memorable. The food was delicious throughout, and the service was excellent. Every staff member was attentive, polite, and ready to help. The comfort and hospitality were top-notch. A perfect place to unwind and enjoy Goa. Highly recommended!

We had a great stay at this amazing property. Special thanks to Mr Ramnath at the bar for amazing customer service, and to Vinayak and the other gentleman at the travel desk, who were super cooperative. The lobby and housekeeping staff were courteous. The front desk should improve. A few things to work on: check each cottage before a new guest arrives, and connect the cottages to the front porch so guests can move around the hotel more easily. Guest services doesn't communicate properly when a vehicle is needed to get from a cottage to the lobby. Pool staff should be stricter about fully clad people dipping their feet and sitting there. If someone asks a week ahead to plan lunch or dinner, call them two days in advance, not on the day itself. When directing guests to caravela for breakfast, tell them if it's under renovation and outdoor seating isn't allowed. Keep in mind that not all seaView cottages have a clear sea view. If booking a room with a balcony in mind, make sure the room listing says it has outdoor seating. The beach isn't private and can get crowded during the day. There are very fine rock particles too, but it's manageable. The hotel is at the end of candolim, about a km from the main area. Taj drop cabs are good, and the fare is around INR 525 or so. This is from my 7-year-old son: I loved the dinosaurs in the play area, and the pool was really spacious. It was great that one end was deep and the other was shallow. My room was clean and really nice, with a beautiful sea view. The food was delicious too. I had waffles, pancakes and cereal with honey, melon and watermelon. The staff were so kind. At checkout, one of them gave me two presents, a book and a puzzle. The hospitality was amazing. Next time I come to North Goa, I want to stay here again. Thank you, TASMAY.
