The garden and its dolna (swings) were a nice touch, and the bathroom was clean and usable. Food was good, though a little overpriced for the location. At Jaldhaka Tourist Lodge, a stopover near National Highway 17 in Chalsa where you can get food and lodging, room quality varies a lot, so check before confirming. We paid ₹800 for a room for four, but it wasn’t great: the bedsheets were torn and the room smelled bad at first. We had to leave the windows open all evening before it became tolerable. Better rooms are available, though their rates feel high for what Chalsa offers. An average stay, acceptable for one night if you choose carefully.

The breakfast was delicious with good variety, and the restaurant options were good quality. Rooms were spotless, spacious, and comfortable, with cozy beds, and the property was well maintained. The staff were friendly, accommodating, and helpful, going above and beyond. The location was convenient for sights and transport, and the room had stunning views. Service was great from check-in to check-out. It felt like a home away from home, exceeded expectations, and I’d highly recommend the hotel. We’ll definitely be back on our next trip.
