I was very uncomfortable with this experience. There was animal excrement under the bedsheet when I got ready for bed. The attendant said something had gotten in because they leave doors open. I don’t know what the animal was or where it went after crawling into the bed, and it raises serious hygiene concerns. They moved me to another room, but that didn’t put my mind at ease. I’d booked just one night because my bus was arriving late. I called reception that afternoon to say I’d get there at 2330 so someone could be ready. When I arrived, all the lights were off and the gates were locked. None of the numbers on the sign or the number I’d called earlier worked. A nearby guard helped me find the calling bell, which was hard to see in the dim light. I waited with my bags for more than half an hour and nearly gave up and booked somewhere else. After a few minutes of ringing, an attendant woke up, let me in, and checked me in. He was polite and his service was decent. The hotel needs a lot of improvement before it’s worth considering. The paint is flaking and the rooms need renovation. Make the calling bell easier to spot for late arrivals, keep working phone numbers so guests can get help, and coordinate better between receptionists. Rooms also need proper cleaning and hygiene checks, the doors should be kept shut, and everything should be double checked before guests are assigned a room. Management should respond to this ASAP. If you’re looking for a decent place to stay, this definitely isn’t it.
