Mongas Hotel & Resort was a relaxing place to stay, with a peaceful feel and a property that's clearly well cared for. Our rooms were clean and roomy, with lovely views. The staff were courteous, supportive, and ready to help. There was a good range of food, and it was excellent. We had a wonderful experience here, and it seems well suited to a family holiday or a weekend break. Highly recommended!

The rooms were well kept, and the service and overall atmosphere were both excellent. My main disappointments were the buffet and the charge for drinking water. The non-veg food was especially bad tasting. We stayed three days, and it was good on only one of them. I've never before had a hotel charge me for drinking water during my travels. My ratings: rooms 4 stars, food 3, service 5, vibes 5, and drinking water charges 0.

The local market is only about 200 meters away, and Mongas Hotel has both a cafe and restaurant where the food was delicious. We spent two days there in November and had an amazing stay. The rooms, service, meals, location, and views were all perfect. Staff were polite and helpful, and they also offer bonfires in winter. I'd definitely recommend it for a stay in Dalhousie.

The property's location makes it busy, and the market, views, staff, parking, and general access on foot were satisfactory. We stayed three nights and used two different rooms. The rooms had nice interiors, but there was an unpleasant smell from the washroom. The property itself is old and poorly maintained. Its room locations are awkward, and there's no lift, so I wouldn't advise it for older people. Food was good, especially the breakfast included with our booking.
