The owner is so kind and welcoming, which made our stay feel special. Shrishti Homestay at Gwar near Gopeswar, Uttarakhand sits among lovely mountain views and fresh Himalayan air, with a peaceful, comfortable feel. It’s a good spot to rest and get ready if you’re planning the Rudranath trek. We also found it a lovely escape from the usual chaos, with genuine hospitality that made us feel at home. Definitely worth a visit for a relaxing stay.

The rooms could use some work. Mine was pretty basic and wasn’t properly maintained or cleaned, but I still had a good stay overall and would recommend it as a budget option around here. It’s a lovely homestay near sagar village, on the route to chopta and tungnath temple. The hosts are friendly, welcoming, and generous. Auntie ji’s cooking is great, and the shared balcony has nice views of the mountains.

Uncle and aunty were polite, humble, and really helpful. They showed us the best way to trek to rudarnath. We had a very good stay, and the food was tasty too.

Uncle and Aunty know Uttarakhand really well, and their tips on nearby places, routes, weather, and local culture helped us explore more safely. They’re warm, simple people who look after guests like family, and Aunty’s home-style food was delicious. The homestay itself was clean, comfortable, and peaceful, with fresh mountain air and quiet views when we woke up. It’s around 30-35 km from Tungnath, so it suited us well for a calm break away from crowded tourist spots. One of the most affordable places I’ve stayed, and I’d gladly come back. Great if you want simplicity, comfort, and a chance to relax in Uttarakhand.
