I was worried about staying alone as a woman, but it turned out to be a good experience. The staff were nice, and food from the hotel was warm, tasty, and good value, costing less than on zomato or swiggy. I paid only 800/1000, which is rare in a city like Chandigarh. It's within walking distance of bus stand 43. The main drawback was hearing outside noise, which caused a little disturbance, though that's understandable in winter. Light from the gallery also came into the room. They should put a curtain behind the gate.

I wouldn't recommend Hotel VK Plaza for families. The staff and service are poor, the bedsheets are extremely dirty, and the blankets don't seem to get washed or changed. You can't call the hotel directly, and outside food isn't allowed. If you order food through them, they may forget it, but they still make sure to collect advance payment. It might work for a 2-3 hour stay if you have no other option; otherwise, I wouldn't go.

The rooms are great, but the food isn't tasty.

The rooms were in very poor condition, and the price quoted on the phone was completely different once we got there. Worst experience. Just don't go.
