Hotel Alishan Sector-41B Chandigarh

I loved the town itself, but the hotel was a complete letdown and I wouldn't recommend it or return. The stay felt unsafe as well, which made everything more uncomfortable. The staff were unresponsive and unhelpful, and didn't listen when we repeatedly raised concerns. Cleanliness was poor from the start: the bedsheets were dirty, the room hadn't been properly cleaned, and even basic hygiene standards weren't met. A very disappointing stay.

I was charged 145 more than the online price, and there was no water. The staff were very unhelpful: when I asked to move rooms, they refused despite empty rooms being available, and they didn't clean the room either. My room was the dirtiest I've ever seen, with cockroaches around at night, a dirty bedsheet, condoms under the bed, and underwear there too. The staff behaved very badly and seemed to give the best rooms to couples rather than people staying a day or longer. I'd strongly avoid this place if you're staying for work. It seems meant only for couples looking to have fun for a few hours.

I went to arrange a room for friends three days before their Chandigarh visit. Staff quoted Rs 1000/- for a single room, and I was ready to book then, but they said the owner would take payment at check-in and asked me to call a day ahead as a reminder. I did, and was told they had rooms and we could come without worry. On check-in day, they said there were no rooms and the owner had raised the room fare. When I questioned how they could treat customers that way and fail to honor their word, they hung up. I don't recommend visiting or staying there. They may raise the price on the spot as they wish.
