Hotel Cloud 9 by OYO Rooms

The building is dirty and sits on the highway, and the pictures show nothing like the actual place. The room walls were covered in mould and fungus, it smelled of smoke, and there were bidi's lying around. A nightmare. Don't book this.

Don't judge this palace by its cover. It's an awesome place to stay, located just a few hundred meters from Chandigarh. The staff are really good and polite, and the food is delicious. If you're a chicken fan, try all the chicken items. Ask for Mahesh, he's the guy who can make your stay. They have ultra large rooms on the 2nd floor that can fit more than 6 people, making them perfect for a party. Mahesh is the one to go to, ask for him and you won't regret it.

My stay was a real disappointment. The rooms are tiny, and I couldn't find any fire evacuation arrangements. When I asked about the water problem in the bathroom, the man at the front desk spoke rudely. They also wouldn't provide utensils when I requested them. Very poor service.

The staff were welcoming and disciplined, and the hotel was well maintained. It’s in Zirakpur, handy for Chandigarh, Mohali, and Panchkula, with Chandigarh Airport nearby. You can also use it as a base for visiting Chandigarh, Shimla, or places in interior Punjab. A high standard for an economical stay, and I had a very good experience.
