The rooms were unclean, the bedsheets hadn't been changed, and the bathroom smelled bad. The hotel also seemed poorly maintained, and I didn't feel the location was safe or good for travellers. I had booked Surya Palace but wasn't given a room there; instead, they put me up at sanjay palace. It was the shabbiest place I've stayed in during all my travels. I'd ask travellers going to Chandigarh to avoid booking Surya Palace, and ixigo to remove its listing from the website.

Fab Hotels confirmed our booking over the phone and charged us half the cost, but when we arrived around 1 o'clock, they said their hotel was full and placed us in a very cheap alternative. The sheets there were filthy, dirty, and torn, and the room was full of selan. It was horrible. Nobody should have to stay there, even for free. Never book through Fab Hotels.

The hotel was full of cockroaches, and the staff and maintenance were terrible. We stayed for two days, but even after I told them we didn't like the hotel, they kept my money and wouldn't refund the rest of what we'd paid. The worst hotel in Chandigarh. Please don't visit, and report them to the police.

I had a confirmed room through booking.com, but reception refused to let me stay. They said it was because I'm a foreigner.
