Maya Hotel

Our whole group enjoyed the Diwali party at Maya Hotel, Chandigarh. The banquet hall’s decorations gave it a lovely festive feel, and the staff were courteous, attentive, and coordinated everything smoothly through the evening. The food was delicious, from starters to desserts. Every dish was fresh, flavorful, and nicely presented, and the service team made sure our guests were comfortable and well looked after. Thanks to the Maya Hotel team for the hospitality and professional management. Great for corporate events, parties, and family functions in Chandigarh.

The towels weren’t very clean, and the hotel wouldn’t provide plastic chairs even when we asked. Parking also wasn’t included with the room booking. We stayed for two days in two rooms at Maya hotel. The location was excellent, the rooms were great, and we were happy with their size for the price. Service was good too, and the complimentary breakfast was decent. The rooms were definitely worth what we paid.

The staff were very polite and good, and the location was convenient, which made the stay a bit better. Still, the overall experience was average. The rooms need more upkeep: there were ceiling cracks, stained floors, old bathroom fittings, and housekeeping could be better. With renovation and more attention to cleanliness, it could be much more comfortable.

The staff were extremely friendly and went out of their way to help, and the location was good. Sadly, the room was a letdown: the bathroom and bedsheets were dirty and stained, and there was visible black mold in the bathroom. I also saw two cockroaches run across my desk, as shown in the attached picture. The TV didn’t work, and breakfast was mediocre at best. I booked Maya Hotel in Chandigarh through Expedia, where it had a 9/10 rating and cost about $50 a night. That felt overpriced for a tier-2 city like Chandigarh, especially for this level of quality. Despite the excellent staff service, I wouldn’t recommend it because of the cleanliness problems, broken amenity, and high price.
