Room 207 was reasonably roomy for one person, with a mini fridge, a little couch and table, and pleasant lighting at night. The lobby and hallway were clean and welcoming, and the hotel is in a prime location. I’d booked a corporate room and may have been upgraded. The person who checked me in could have been friendlier, and the cupboard was small, with no drawers. The towels looked worn, and the huge pillows were very uncomfortable. I’d shrink them to about half or a third of their current size. Room service gave me 15% off soup, which was okay. The ground-floor restaurant meal, though, was very expensive and neither tasty nor good value. The hotel itself was costly too, though I guess that’s typical of Chandigarh hotels.

The dahi ke kebab, crispy corns, and chilly chicken were delicious, and there was a good range of vegetarian and non-vegetarian snacks. I went to oyster last week for a dinner party with my cousins and family. It was clean, cozy, and quiet, and the staff were very friendly.

We stayed at Hotel Oyster, Chandigarh (Sector 17) from 23rd to 25th October 2025. The location made getting around easy, with autos and cabs readily available for nearby areas and sightseeing. The staff were polite, helpful, and welcoming. Our room was spacious, bright, and had comfortable bedding and excellent air-conditioning. The washroom was clean and had essentials including dental kits. Breakfast was fresh and tasty, with fruits, juices, chaas, bread, butter, jam, poha, aloo paratha, and kheer among the options. It was a very pleasant stay with good food and hospitality, and I’d stay here in Chandigarh again.

On my first trip to Chandigarh, I was glad I picked this hotel for a short stay. Sector 17A is close to several dining and entertainment spots, and Rose Garden is walkable. Rock Garden and other attractions are a short drive away. The staff were kind and welcoming. Thanks especially to Reception staff Ajay Thakur, Housekeeping staff Nandan, and Restaurant staff Jagdish for looking after my needs. The room and service felt worth the price, and I’d recommend the hotel and come back next time.

Bali’s Rooftop was a highlight, with wide views over Chandigarh, warm lighting, and a peaceful, romantic feel. We enjoyed the food and drinks, and every dish we tried was flavorful and nicely presented. Great music and a cool evening breeze made dinner memorable. The service was attentive, from room service to the personal attention at Bali’s Rooftop. On my recent stay, I found the staff courteous and genuinely hospitable. Oyester Hotel in Sector 17 is well connected to the city’s attractions, shops, and restaurants, and offers a comfortable, classy base. The rooftop works for a casual meal or a celebration. I’d recommend it to both visitors and locals looking for a scenic, relaxing stay or rooftop meal.
