SPOT ON 40475 Star Lodge

The bedsheets weren’t clean, and the blanket had a terrible smell. During my stay the room wasn’t cleaned, the AC barely ran properly, and neither the TV nor the electric geyser worked. The staff don’t know how to speak to guests. Avoid coming here with family or friends.

They refused to let me check in unless I paid extra. The furniture was damaged, the sheets were dirty, the pillow was useless, and the hygiene was awful. There was no proper drinking water and the geyser didn’t work. I also had no sense of safety or security. I’d suggest ignoring the 4-5 star ratings, since the manager gives them himself. Go to another reputable hotel, a dharamshala, or a Gurudwara instead. Worst experience with OYO so far.

The room itself was very good, with a nice bathroom, a towel, and free cold drinking water. I’d booked a single but got a large room with a double bed. The ceiling fan made such a tremendous noise that I had to switch it off at times, even in the sweating heat.

They were very uncooperative. I’d told them I needed to stay from 5 am until 11 pm, but at noon they asked me to pay for a second day. Don’t go to a hotel recommended by an auto driver. They just want your money at any cost.
