Mr. Sunil, Mr. Mukesh, and Mr. Pramod at reception deserve a special mention. They were professional, helpful, and welcoming, and made check-in smooth. The rest of the staff were polite and ready to help as well. At The Gaur Hotel, Chandigarh, my room was clean, comfortable, and well maintained, and the restaurant served tasty, well-prepared food. I was very satisfied with the service and would happily stay here again. I'd recommend it to anyone visiting Chandigarh.

We had a birthday dinner with family at the hotel restaurant. The comfortable ambience and satisfactory service made for a good experience, and the food came in generous portions at reasonable prices. You can bring your own bottle of liquor if you want.

We paid 5k per room for two rooms, but the AC in one wasn't working and there were obvious signs of water damage. Basic amenities were lacking, and even simple requests took a long time. The hotel seemed empty, yet made a big fuss when we asked for early check-in by a couple of hours. There was no breakfast buffet because they cited low occupancy, and the food we ordered was poor. A bad experience. The hotel and staff should reflect on this or shut shop.

They made advance payment of the room rent a requirement and acted very professional at first. The rooms were well maintained and the hotel gave a good initial impression, but that changed when it rained and the roof started leaking in several places. For a while there was no running water in the washroom. When it came back, it was cold, with no hot water. I called room service, but during my bath the water then came out scalding hot instead of at a properly balanced temperature.
