I paid 3K for a room through MMT, but the lobby stank when I arrived. The rooms were dirty and in such bad shape that this felt like a lodge, not a hotel. The owner was rude and seemed to know nothing about hospitality. I just left. One of the worst hotels in Chennai, and I don’t believe the other reviews are genuine. Don’t book it.
The place was a real mess when OYO was running it, but things have changed since then. Chennai hotels have put hospitality and quality ahead of OYO’s downgraded, disruptive marketing. Al Reef has rightly escaped OYO’s grip and now offers quality service, hygiene, and safety. It’s been renamed Dreams Residency, and they’re doing a great job.
A small, well-kept hall with five ACs, thoughtfully planned for the heat from the food, guests, and Chennai weather. The price was very affordable, and it was a great experience.
The rooms are clean and very nice. Check everything before you check in.
