The location is great, and although the rooms are small, they were clean. There’s a strange smell that really bothered me. I think they used good materials when the place was built, but it seems to be getting run down for lack of maintenance. The towels were shredded from being washed so many times.

It feels like home, and a lovely garden is only about 200 mtr away. The famous Chennai beaches are nearby too. My one gripe was breakfast timing: it was supposed to be at 8:30 am, but arrived at 8:45. They should serve it earlier.

It’s a service apartment in a quiet residential area, with clean rooms and a wardrobe. Breakfast and coffee are served, but they’re only just palatable. Breakfast should be available earlier, preferably at 7 rather than 8.

Getting here was easy, and it’s a couple of minutes’ walk from Mylapore Tank in a residential neighborhood. Our room was neat, and they left us a bottle of drinking water. The reception room on the ground floor didn’t smell very fresh.

For 1500, the room is a good deal. The staff are professional and polite, the rooms are cool, and it’s a peaceful location with a market and park nearby. There’s no restaurant in the hotel, so you’ll need to order food or snacks on an app, or walk 500m to the market to eat. Fine for a day or two.
