At check-in and check-out I dealt with Mani at reception. He was one of the grumpiest hotel receptionists I've met, with no smile or polite conversation, and not even an effort to act polite. The rooms need a lot of work. On the first day, the bath area turned into a swimming pool. Breakfast at the restaurant was pretty standard. For the price, it's alright, but I wouldn't expect much. It has great potential to become a very good hotel.

The food was nice, and the support staff were very helpful with the arrangements for the freshers event I organised in the Mulberry Hall of Harrison Hotel. I'm really happy with how it all went. I especially want to mention Gayathri Ma'am for all her dedicated effort in helping us plan such a wonderful event.

The breakfast spread has both continental and South Indian dishes, and there's good parking. The hotel also has a bar and three restaurants: Meenam for South Indian food, Thulsi for vegetarian multicuisine, and Dynasty, a long-running Chinese restaurant in Chennai serving traditional “Indian” Chinese cuisine. It's a very good business hotel, with warm staff who make you comfortable when you ask for things, and excellent service and housekeeping. I stay there regularly. The plumbing fixtures in the toilets do need attention.

Harrisons is a strong choice for overseas visitors or anyone planning an event. Felicia Gayathri gave us tremendous support and handled our last-minute requests without hesitation. Without her help, organising an event for so many guests would have been challenging. Thanks as well to Velu for looking after us at the buffet breakfast, and to the whole Harrisons team for their service.

We tried several dishes and every one tasted excellent. The staff were extremely kind and attentive, and there was a wide selection of distinctive vegetarian options. A wonderful dining experience. I'd definitely come back.
