Hotel La Castle

The cigarette smell in the rooms was so bad it made it hard to breathe. Staff were really rude, and the bathroom didn’t look like the one in the pictures. Don’t trust those images, they look photoshopped. We had a horrible stay and it spoiled our whole holiday. A waste of money.

The complimentary food was good, and the bathrooms were clean, but the tea cost too much. The hotel feels very dated and needs renovation. Room lighting was extremely dim, the elevator smelled bad whenever we used it, and the staff didn’t make us feel welcome. They were also very strict about visitor hours, even though our stay was short. Wouldn’t recommend it unless they make improvements.

I don’t usually leave Google hotel reviews, but this stay was bad enough that I had to. I booked six days and wasn’t told beforehand about the 24-hour checkout policy. I’d checked in at 5 am on the first day, then at 5 in the morning staff told me to check out or pay extra, and spoke to me disrespectfully. They also came into my room and took back the iron box while I was away, without telling me. That felt like a complete breach of privacy. My six-day package included six complimentary breakfasts, but I hadn’t eaten any and was refused one on checkout day. Staff said it counted whether I ate it or not, and egg dishes cost extra. Please correct me if I’ve got that wrong. For a room costing 2.5k, I expected more. It felt like ordinary lodging in the 900-1500 range, and even the washroom mirror was covered in marks. @lacastle team and owners, please learn some basic hotel etiquette and give future guests better service.

I’m really happy with my stay at hotel La Castle. The room, cleanliness, and service team were all amazing. Big credit to Mr. Chandu, the reception manager, who gave us excellent hospitality. Such a great person. I’m very thankful to chandu, thanks so much!
