Hotel Manvaar

The receptionist has no manners when he speaks, and keeps calling every few hours to ask if we're in the room.

The rooms and towels were filthy, the washrooms were unhygienic, and mosquitoes were everywhere.

In Sowcarpet, Chennai, this was a nice place to stay. The rooms and bathrooms were clean and looked after, and mostly matched the ad. Good location, facilities, and staff too.

We paid 2000 RS for a double bedroom that wasn't worth more than 600rs. I had booked 6 rooms, but my guests all left because the tap water smelled strongly and seemed mixed with drainage water. There was no water at times, no towels, no telephone, broken locks, unclean bedsheets, a faulty fan regulator, damaged bathroom fittings, a bad drain smell, and the AC didn't work properly. There was even a shock from the water heater. We didn't feel safe on the premises. A rowdy, bearded man staying there threatened guests and used abusive language toward us in front of my family, including women and children, when we complained. Manvaar are unprofessional. The place isn't suitable for families, or for human beings at all. It was a nightmare and a waste of money.
