OYO 5446 Hotel Maharajay

The staff are good, and breakfast is good quality, with Dosa, Idli, uttapam, Mehnduwada and sweet. The hotel has a bar of its own, so it’s a good spot for liquor lovers. Laundry is available too, though it’s quite expensive. The fixed price is 1500, and you can also book the room on Oyo.

The smell of toilets reached throughout the hotel. When I complained, the staff boy and housekeeping boys told me to go check in somewhere else. The caretaker at reception said they were short on boys and that I should provide some, adding that only two of them were looking after 38 rooms and everything else. The rooms were dusty on the cupboards, and the AC had no cooling. We had booked two rooms but didn’t want to stay, so we moved to the opposite hotel, paid 200 extra, and got good food and nice new rooms.

The guy wearing glasses at reception was rude. The reception behavior was awful, and he’s totally spoiling the hotel.

I’ve stayed at many hotels in coimbtor, but I really miss those days at OYO 5446 MAHARAJAY, Chennai. It’s a superb hotel for singles and couples, with much better service and hospitality than any other hotel I’ve stayed in. My first choice in the Chennai region.
