OYO Flagship 46738 Egmore Shelters

The rooms are new and clean, and the staff are very cooperative and helpful, but there are no tables in the room. The entrance is awful and so hard to notice. It's near tasmac, isn't couple friendly, and there's no reception as such, just a desk under the steps. The hotel parallel to this one is a nightmare.

The location near Egmore Junction is the best part. It may be fair for a bachelor stay, but might not suit a couple. The room is cramped and there’s no TV channels or table or place to keep stuff. The road nearby causes some disturbance, and mosquitoes are a bit of a problem too. The food court is like a street daba, serves no veg, and the quality is poor. Please don't book the hotel with food at any time of day. For the money spent, it was less value.

Egmore shelters was a bang for the buck. I was travelling solo and got a good deal on Agoda. It seems like a newly renovated building by oyo, close to the private bus stop and Egmore railway station. The front desk and host were polite and helpful. They provided oyo soaps and a clean towel, the bed was comfortable, the toilets were clean, and I enjoyed the shower. There were plenty of good food options on swiggy. That was all I needed.

Worst experience. The room wasn't clean, no staff greeted me at check-in, and there was somebody's underwear hanging in the toilet. The toilet hadn't been cleaned, and there was no drinking water. The manager took my phone without asking and rated himself 5 stars on goibibo. Such a bad experience.
