OYO Flagship 475 Audi Nivas, North Usman Road

The room itself was good, with plenty of space, and the building was nice. The receptionist was pleasant too. But the service let it down: no complimentary breakfast, just one item, and the breakfast area AC wasn't working. Basic things like soap and toothpaste weren't provided, and support staff were awful and slow. Manager Vaidi didn't seem to look into any of this. OYO charges a lot under the flagship name, yet offers no support.

For the price, I expected a towel, but never got one. The bathroom window on the ground floor has gaps in its wooden frame, which could be unsafe for a woman if left unfixed. They could also offer more toilet items, like a toothbrush or razor. Breakfast was the usual South Indian dosa, idly, or poori. Rooms were about 2500 a night when I checked in. Around 1500 would have felt like good value.

The manager's attitude really spoiled the enjoyment, and the management came across as focused on money. If you book through OYO at a low offer price, don't expect decent service. They may insist you book directly at a higher rate if you want any adjustments or coordination. I'd avoid this place if you're after a peaceful stay.

The room was okay, but the food charge mess with OYO made check-in a pain. We had left the meal option off when booking. Then customer care called before the arrival date to ask about food, and no matter what we said, they selected it anyway. We couldn't get our rooms until we paid the meal charge or called the call center and waited for them to remove it. We had our 10-month-old baby with us and ended up waiting half an hour just to get the rooms assigned. Really stressful.
