I ended up here because there was an issue with my original hotel. The staff were understanding and friendly, and let me check in before the formalities were complete. The location is in a quiet area beside a park, yet close to shops and restaurants. Mylapore and Alwarpet are both easy to reach. The rooms are clean and well maintained. Breakfast could be improved, especially the taste.

The rooms were clean and spacious, and the residential area felt good and quite safe. There isn't dedicated parking, so you have to leave the car on the street. They charged us for coffee, and the complimentary breakfast wasn't very good. It was roti with subji cooked downstairs. Water was coming very slowly from check-in, then stopped completely in the morning. After we complained several times, they fixed it around 11, but the flow was still slow. Apart from the water problems, the place was good.

When I got there at 3 pm, they told me the AC wasn't working and said I should look for another property. I was in a hurry and didn't want to go out into Chennai's 45°C sun, so I asked for the room without AC. He warned that if he gave me a non-AC room, I shouldn't complain to Oyo; otherwise, I should find another hotel at the last minute. Nobody had told me any of this beforehand, and it really annoyed me. The TV wasn't working either. I came down from the third floor to ask them to turn it on, and they promised three times that someone would come in ten minutes, but nobody did. I gave up asking. He said there were no other rooms with AC, but wrote room 25 in the register even though he gave me room 35. That's the level of poor service and fraud here. The Wi-Fi didn't work, and the ambience was awful. This was my first Oyo booking, and I won't recommend this place to anyone. I'll also post a link to my YouTube channel review once it's uploaded.

The room I stayed in had no Cable TV or Set top box connection. The AC seemed old and gave off a stale smell when switched on. I guess they don't clean the filters regularly. The place is in the CIT colony near the park, and both the room and toilet looked decent and clean.

The place has a pleasant atmosphere, the staff are friendly, and there’s a small park nearby. Food was a letdown, though: breakfast was tasteless, the lunch and dinner choices were limited, and the prices felt high. There were also small problems around the building, including the AC, DG, taps, and elevator, and getting anything fixed took a lot of follow-up. The TV had no Hindi or English channels.
