It's a handy budget place if you're planning a trip. Rooms are cheap, the service was good, and they offer Wi-Fi. It's about a five-minute walk from the central railway station. There isn't food service at the hotel, but hotels and restaurants are nearby. The staff were polite even after I made several enquiries, so I thought it was a good place to stay.

We needed a place to rest for one night in an emergency and didn't expect much, but it was a pleasant surprise. The room was clean, with clean bedcovers and pillows, and the basic bathroom was clean too. The manager and two staff members waited for our late check-in at 11.45pm. The only issue was the window, which was just a small opening. A very good, pocket-friendly hotel, and I was satisfied.

For a solo traveller, it's a convenient spot close to Central Railway Station, with several places to eat nearby, including pure vegetarian restaurants. There's also a government-run liquor store close by. I found it fine for freshening up and spending one night, but not for relaxing or for a family stay. In my view it doesn't qualify as a 2 star hotel, and the beds need replacing.

The good points are the price, the main-road location, and being very close to Chennai Central. RO water, a western toilet seat, and toiletries are available, plus there's tasty tea right at the entrance and food outlets nearby. On the downside, the taps aren't cleaned regularly, some bathroom mats weren't clean, and mosquitoes were around with no protection from them.

A neat, well-maintained budget hotel, and online booking through goibibo is available. They provide water, bedsheets, blankets, towels, soap, hot water, and Wi-Fi. Housekeeping and laundry are available too.
