Breakfast was a good buffet with a nice range of options, and the staff stayed friendly and supportive. The atmosphere was pleasant, and I liked having no curfew. The rooms were very clean, well maintained, and thoughtfully set up. I also appreciated the handy iron box on the ground floor. There's a cute kids' play room too, though I didn't get to visit it. The only awkward part was checkout. Our bus was at 9 PM, but checkout was at 11 AM, which left us rushing and confused at the last minute. The receptionist and our company manager discussed it, and since we didn't speak the same language, hearing the argument in their native language felt uncomfortable. I understood our room had been booked for other guests, but I wish alternative options or a courtesy arrangement had been discussed sooner. From arrival through departure, the stay felt welcoming and comfortable. Aside from that checkout confusion, I had a very positive experience at this Thiruvanmiyur hotel.

The location is excellent, but the room upkeep could be better. The kettle wouldn't switch itself off, and its replacement had the same fault. In the bathroom, water splashed everywhere from the tap, which was missing its bottom cap. The windows also had no mosquito screens.

Housekeeping was attentive, and the receptionists were too. The room was decent, though at this price I expected more space. Mosquitoes meant we had to keep the doors shut, and parking was a bit of a hassle: there are only two spaces inside the gate, already taken when we arrived, so we parked on this road or the next one. Breakfast was included, with idli, vada, upma, chutney, sambar, bread, butter and jam, plus machine coffee and tea. It was edible, but just okay, and the drinks especially could've been better. Being about 15 minutes from Besant Nagar beach was a plus. All in all, a good stay.

I wouldn't recommend anyone book this hotel. As a travel agent, I'd steer people away. Service was so poor that it felt like you only got a room to sleep in. They gave one bottle of water at check-in, but none each day, even when I asked. I asked in the morning to have the dustbin cleaned, and by 7 PM it still hadn't been cleared, so it smelled. There was no room service during my stay, and the sheets and blankets weren't good. It's a very bad hotel and service apartment. The location was also inconvenient for me because there wasn't a Bengali cuisine restaurant nearby.

It was a quiet, peaceful location, and I liked my stay. The breakfast could've been better. The receptionist was friendly and helpful, and promptly took care of whatever I needed.
