The Accord Metropolitan

At the Brick Oven, breakfast had a very good range of food and quality. The bar on L1 had nice drinks and an Indian live music performance, and OHM Restaurant on the top floor served good food. We also used the laundry, and our clothes came back washed and folded perfectly. The service from the highly qualified staff was excellent, and the hospitality was top-notch. A very good hotel.

Breakfast had a huge selection, mostly US American dishes but with some Indian choices too. It got so crowded that finding a table was nearly impossible. My room was quiet and generally clean, though there were a few marks on the bathroom floor that made it seem like it hadn’t been mopped before I arrived. The toiletries were provided, and the shower was pretty nice. The location worked well for the wedding I was attending. The street north of the hotel was a bit dirty. Staff were pleasant, but not always helpful: I requested bottled water in person and the advertised complimentary fruit by phone, and had to remind them about both more than eight hours later. The gym was small and dirty, with old equipment, but usable.

The food and kitchen were more than satisfactory, and the first-floor buffet is a great way to start the morning. There’s also 24-hour room service. Muthu was the best attendant, bringing food quickly and warm. It was some of the best hotel service I’ve had in a while, and I’m looking forward to staying at the Accord again when I’m back in Chennai. Our rooms were spacious, nice, and very clean. We had lots of things, but Dinesh and Manoj were gracious while cleaning, keeping everything orderly and checking that we had what we needed.

The magician in the restaurant was such a fun surprise and made our anniversary feel extra memorable. Velina was especially kind with my one-year-old, so we could enjoy our meal peacefully. She and Aliza welcomed us with smiles, served us cheerfully, and looked after us throughout. The Brick Oven was an amazing experience. The food tasted fantastic, and the chef deserves credit for both the flavor and presentation. Great hospitality, food, and entertainment. Highly recommended.
