Hotel Mount Manor

The restaurant looked newly done, and breakfast was fresh. That was the one part of the stay I liked. The room itself looked old and worn, and the bedsheets and towels weren't clean enough. The TVs were only around 24 inches, at most 32 inches, in all rooms. They should have larger screens, which people like having in their rooms.

I had a very bad stay and wouldn't recommend this hotel, even though it's close to the airport. They charge extra for cutlery, spoons and forks, and when a visitor comes to see you. One water bottle costs 53 rupees. I asked to add the food charges to the room bill, but the manager spent half an hour discussing it and still didn't combine them. The hotel just charges you, while the response when you ask for service is poor. It isn't customer friendly.

The workers and guards were kind and tried to help, but dealing with reception was a bad customer experience. We had already paid a good amount for the rooms, yet they wanted more for something they hadn't clarified after I asked several times. I needed a bed with a mattress for one extra person, a senior citizen. They agreed, then later said it wasn't available and that the person would have to sleep on just the mattress on the floor. They accused us of yelling for no reason. After a lot of arguing, they said they'd provide the bed if we paid the higher price. This hotel isn't customer friendly.

We arrived around 8:30 in the morning with our family and kids, even though check-in wasn't until noon. We politely asked if we could get in early because we had children with us, but the staff wouldn't cooperate or give us a room. The manager was extremely rude and unprofessional, speaking harshly and showing no concern for guests travelling with kids. It was a very disappointing experience. I don't recommend this hotel because of the poor attitude and lack of hospitality.
