The Residency

The breakfast was tasty and the whole family enjoyed it. The location is central and made it easy for my wife, kids, and me to get to nearby spots. Staff were humble, polite, and supportive, and made us feel welcome. Our room was clean and maintained well, and housekeeping and room service were good. There were some delays at first, but they got quicker and more efficient later. A welcome drink or detox water at reception would've been a nice touch, since there wasn't one when we arrived. The breakfast menu could also change day to day for guests staying several nights. Still, we had a comfortable family stay at The Residency. Thanks to the team.

The staff were friendly and efficient, from reception to the restaurant, and the breakfast buffet had lots of options. We had a spacious, clean, comfortable room with quality bedding, in a perfect location on Chennai GN Chetty road. Though we didn't initially get the room we booked, Desk Manager Mr. Sathya was patient and went out of his way to sort it out right away. Mr. Joseph, the bell boy, helped with our luggage so we wouldn't strain ourselves. When we had Wifi trouble, floor manager Mr. Jawahir dealt with it quickly. Housekeeping also took great care of us and provided everything we asked for, though I didn't get the attendant's name. Mr. Nihash was very friendly at reception, and bell boy Mr. Marimuthu was equally kind and helpful. We had an amazing experience and will recommend it to family and friends.

The staff were courteous and polite throughout, and security was well managed, so I felt safe. There was good parking, and the central location made it easy to get around. The rooms were average, more like a good three-star hotel than a premium four-star property. Breakfast was disappointing too, with a limited selection. It's a decent stay for the location and service, though there's room for improvement to meet four-star standards.

Mr Joseph was kind and always ready to help with a warm smile. Mr Ramkumar, Mr Sathya, and Mr V. Ramachendren were attentive too, and made the whole stay feel welcoming. It was clear the team cared about their guests, which made a real difference. I had a very pleasant stay at The Residency Hotel Chennai and would recommend it for the friendly atmosphere and hospitality. Oh yes, the food is great 👍🏼
