The Vijay Park(Madhavaram)

We had already paid in full for about 20 rooms and two executive suites for my brother’s wedding, so we had no choice but to stay. It turned what should have been a happy family occasion into a deeply disappointing experience for us and our guests. We complained several times and changed rooms three times, but the problems were the same everywhere, and management never took responsibility beyond saying sorry. During our three days there, housekeeping didn’t clean unless we called repeatedly. Many rooms were dirty and had cockroaches at night, and they were old and poorly maintained. Showers didn’t work, the AC failed in most rooms, and moving rooms didn’t help. Water either barely came or was dirty with sand and gravel, and several rooms smelled strongly of drainage. The food was unacceptable. The chicken was spoiled and inedible, choices were very limited, and even roadside hotel food would have been better. Plates and spoons were also in terrible, visibly old condition. The decor we were promised for the wedding wasn’t delivered. Please don’t waste your money here.

We held a Seemantham function here, but the promised decor never arrived and the food was below average. The servers seemed reluctant to give more than one spoonful, and the kitchen team kept the leftover food instead of handing it to the paying party, even when we asked. They were very eager to collect tips despite the poor service. Manager Mr. Bhaskar asked me for 1500 in tips, claiming he would later share it among three service teams, but he didn’t. Afterward, individual team members called us asking for tip money. The service was awful and money-minded, with very little delivered and lots of pressure to pay more.

Hotel Vijay Park in Madhavaram is conveniently close to the bus stand, with parking and security that guests have praised. The rooms are clean and well maintained, with modern comforts and good housekeeping. Staff are friendly and provide excellent service, and the restaurant has tasty vegetarian and non-vegetarian choices. The atmosphere is pleasant, and prices are reasonable for a comfortable stay.

The rooms cost 4000 under a corporate offer, without breakfast, and they weren’t worth that price. I booked 12 rooms for 48000, and although paying another 1000 for an extra bed wasn’t difficult, the rooms didn’t justify the charge. While booking, they show a well-kept room and then give you something different. Nearly every room had a problem: cockroaches, poor electrical maintenance, and a table fan supplied instead of AC. Water bottles and bath kits weren’t given unless requested. The bathroom doors wouldn’t lock and the flush didn’t work. I refused the extra bed charge, but the manager acted as if they had provided excellent rooms and service and we were refusing to pay what remained.
