We called ahead and the manager said two rooms were available, but when we arrived they were dirty and smelled bad. The rooms were also poorly maintained and suffocating, and the surrounding area didn’t feel safe or comfortable for a family. My family and I were extremely disappointed. We lost the whole day and had to drop our plans because of this. I’d never recommend this hotel. It felt like a complete scam.

Rodents were roaming around as if they were guests in the room. The gully was dark and scary too. This place absolutely isn’t worth the price. Never try it.

We went out for dinner before we realized what was happening. When we got back at night, cockroaches were everywhere in the room, even inside our bags. There must have been hundreds. We checked out at 11pm. The manager was rude and unfriendly, said he could spray the room, and didn’t even want to refund us. When we checked the bags later, we still found more than 40 cockroaches in them. Worst guesthouse I’ve ever been to. Don’t go there.

It’s affordable and has an attached bathroom and kitchen with the basic utensils and essentials. Water is plentiful, so washing clothes and dishes wasn’t a problem. The place is clean enough, though it isn’t especially pleasant or atmospheric. It could suit people coming to Chennai for treatment and staying longer. Service can be disrupted sometimes, but the issues are minor and easy to overlook. Nice enough to recommend.
