Kiran Sir provided excellent service. The traditional architecture and decor preserve the cultural heritage beautifully, and the place has the feel of a royal palace. The food was excellent too, and the warm hospitality made the visit memorable. Highly recommended!

The fireworks were a real concern. Management refused our kids' small New Year sparklers on safety grounds, which we accepted, but later held its own fireworks with guests' cars parked very close by. That contradiction showed little regard for safety. Other parts of the stay were frustrating too. The restaurant had so many flies that eating there felt uncomfortable and unhygienic. Our tap water smelled strongly and looked rusty or mixed with ore, and the rooms and shared areas weren't properly cleaned. We also had no proper Wi-Fi. Even a basic dental kit only appeared after we asked, and the toilet paper was half-used, which was unacceptable. When we accidentally spilled coffee on a bedsheet in one room, we told the staff straight away. They said there were no spare sheets, then insisted we pay for a replacement, claiming the sheet couldn't be washed or dry cleaned. That felt unreasonable and exploitative. The property looks good in photos, but management, maintenance, cleanliness, and professionalism were extremely poor. Between the hygiene problems, missing basics, unprofessional behaviour, inconsistent rules, and unsafe practices, the stay was frustrating and not worth the money. I strongly don't recommend it unless there are major improvements.

The Kerala food was incredible, we kept going back for more. The staff were so kind and helpful, and made us feel like VIPs. Our room was huge, clean, and had dreamy backwater views waiting when we woke up. The bed was perfect too. It was peaceful and quiet while still being close to everything. We loved it and are already planning to return. Alleppey, you beauty!

We only stopped for one night between trips, but a full day here seems worth the price. Breakfast in the morning was really tasty. The building has Kerala-style architecture, with Kerala artforms on the walls, and the restaurant is a traditional nalukettu. It's a resort-style hotel. Be ready for a long walk to the rooms, and there's no lift.
