Hotel Saradharam is in Chidambaram, about midway between the railway station and the famous Nataraja Temple. The temple is roughly 750 m away and the bus stand about 830 m. Check-in is available from 12:00 PM to 10:00 PM, with check-out by 12:00 PM. Room options include 196 sq. ft. Economy Rooms with twin beds, daily housekeeping, Wi-Fi, and TV; 225 sq. ft. Standard A/C Rooms with twin beds, a sofa set, wardrobe, and attached bathroom; 375 sq. ft. Luxury Rooms with contemporary décor and rich textures; spacious Family Rooms; and the smaller but premium Saradharam Suite. Facilities listed include a vegetarian restaurant with multi-cuisine options inspired by organic farm produce, a lux-lounge bar with light meals and evening drinks, and the “Darbar” banquet hall for 200 people plus a boardroom for 30. There's also a children's play area with a splash pool, swings, and toys, along with free Wi-Fi, parking, an elevator, power backup, room service, currency exchange, and car rentals.

The rooms are very clean, and the staff are polite and kind. This is one of the best veg hotels in Chidambaram. The food is good quality and not too spicy, a nice place to eat if you're vegetarian. It's opposite the Chidambaram bus stand.

I chose this hotel for its central location, which made it easier to visit the temples. I stayed for 2 days and 1 night, and found the hotel clean with a reasonable rate per night. Having a restaurant inside made things much easier. Breakfast was included in the room package, and the food was very good, so I had dinner there too.

For a one-day or functional visit, this is a decent hotel, and it's quite close to the temple. The room and toilet were good enough, though they could use renovation. Customer service was alright, and the food was so-so.

Location-wise, it was very good. The rooms were okay, food was good, and staff behavior was okay too. I gave it 3 stars because they let me check in three hours early, at 9 am, then charged me for two days on the grounds that I'd arrived early. They should have told me beforehand or charged only for those three hours. I didn't like how they handled it.
