Java Rain Resorts

The grounds were lovely and peaceful to walk around, and the spa was excellent. The buggy drivers and restaurant staff were polite, though the property seemed short-staffed. We also had a comfortable time using the pool, but its cleanliness could be better. Please see my separate food review for details. We came to celebrate our son's birthday, but had to remind the staff about the cake. What arrived was mostly bread, sugar syrup, and frosting, and barely edible. At this price, that and the food quality left us with a poor impression of the hospitality. Lakshmi from reservations was helpful with our booking, though I don't think the central reservations team should recommend pre-booking meals when the buffet isn't up to the right culinary standard. Our arrival had several problems. Check-in was delayed, the room wasn't clean, and the extra bed had been moved even though we'd called a day ahead to say we'd arrive an hour early. The initial response when we raised this was slow. Front-line executive Anand then stepped in and said he'd personally oversee our service. Housekeeping after that was prompt, but still missed dust and insects on the floor. The bathroom smelled pungent from poor ventilation, and the floor stayed damp. For what we paid, the room, upholstery, and general feel didn't come across as luxury.

The team made our four nights at Java Rain Resort feel like a stay with family. Madan, Santhosh, Prafulla, Usha, Shalina, and Shwetha were all so friendly and kind. They even prepared special meals for our one-year-old daughter exactly as we asked, and the adults loved the food too. With roomy accommodation and a handy location near the main attractions, it was a wonderful trip. I highly recommend it for warm service and a memorable stay.

Mr. Arup Dutta, the manager, was professional, caring, and polite throughout our stay. His quick support and the friendly way he managed things made us feel especially comfortable, and we really appreciated it. The resort itself was peaceful and clean, with neat, comfortable rooms and tasty food. Staff were helpful and courteous, and both the service and hospitality were top class. We had an amazing time with family and friends 😊

Executive Chef Shaikh Mujibur was one of the best parts of our stay. Everything he made was great, from Indian and continental food to a South Indian breakfast spread we loved. The whole team, from the front office to the staff and managers, was warm and friendly too. We were there for our honeymoon, so Java Rain will always feel special to us. The property is beautiful and well looked after, with spacious, cozy rooms and a nice modern touch. The coffee plantation walk was a highlight. We'd love to return :)
