The property's aesthetics are the only reason for my rating. On my first trip to Chickmagalur, I hoped for a pleasant stay, but my family and I had a very bad experience. The owner showed little basic hospitality and didn't make us comfortable from the moment we arrived. She blamed us for using up the inverter's power, even though she knew we had spent only a couple of hours in the villa. After a blissful evening with my cousins, dealing with her was difficult. When we decided to leave, she shut the door in our faces and said, 'please leave'. It was extremely disappointing to be treated with such poor hospitality.

The whole villa was ours, and there was plenty of room in the hall, portico, and garden for around 10 people. It's pet friendly, with a good garden, car parking, and a TV with jio fiber. There weren't any utensils, but we'd brought our own, so that wasn't a problem. It's near lots of hotels and just 2kms from town, so we could come and go flexibly. The electricity was fine. I thought it was a good villa, unlike the other reviews.

The place is out in the plains and feels lifeless. The kitchen was empty, without even glasses or cups. It seems she hasn't taken any lessons from previous reviews. I wouldn't recommend this house for a vacation stay.

I'd give zero stars if that were an option. The lady accepted the booking, but when I arrived she wouldn't let me stay and said she hadn't listed the home for stays. She also didn't answer calls, and I never got a refund for the amount I paid.

My family and I were already there when they refused the stay, saying they'd already communicated with the vendor, even though our stay had been confirmed. It was quite embarrassing. Make sure you confirm directly with them, even if you have an email confirmation.
