Hotel JADAV AND NATRAJ DINING HALL & RESTAURANT is very close to the route to the Historical Fort of CHITTORGARH. I found it the best in Chittorgarh, with a luxury feel for very little money.
The room was basic and very dirty, though I didn't stay the night. I paid 800rms at 9 am expecting to stay, then went to see the fort and finished around 12. I decided to leave town, since it seemed there was little else there besides the fort, but the owner refused to refund anything for the three hours I'd used the room only to store my bag. There was another room empty, so my leaving wouldn't have stopped him doing business. Bad karma. The shared courtyard was noisy, with people and kids cooking and going about their day. My room had a thin metal door with a grille at the top, opening onto a balcony overlooking that courtyard, which is shared by many properties. The toilet and shower were out of this world, with an open window facing the stairs. The towels I was given were wet and unclean, and the owner wanted to charge me 10 rms for soap. I wouldn't have showered there anyway. I was happy not to have stayed. On the way to the fort, I saw an old man on the left, in front of his guest house, offering rooms for 300 rms. Maybe that would've been better. I've stayed in plenty of cheap, basic GH and hotels on my travels, but I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone. It felt like the owner was just after your money.
There was a greasy smell of fried food coming into the room through a hole in the door, and I even found ashes in the soap holder. Outside light shone into the room all night, while street noise from below was loud. The person making the bed put the supposedly clean sheets on the dirty floor first, and the sheet had lots of greasy marks. I have to wonder if the other reviews are fake. Avoid this place, there are better hotels nearby.
The rooms were really dirty, and the blanket smelled awful.
The owner was polite and humble, and helped us with everything we asked for. We were visiting from Mumbai and were completely satisfied with the service. It was a fabulous experience. If you visit Chittaurgarh, do stop by this hotel.
