Hotel Shalimar By OYO Rooms

I’ve never seen a worse hotel. The room and service were both bad, and the staff’s behavior was especially awful. They had no manners when speaking to guests. I’d give it zero stars if that were an option. I’m never coming back.

We only needed a cheap place for one night, and the hotel’s main advantage is how close it is to the railway station. Getting service was painfully slow. Although I’d noted in my Oyo booking that three of us would be staying, I still had to call twice and then go to reception to ask for extra bedding. The room felt sealed shut: the windows wouldn’t open, and there was no exhaust in the washroom. The AC barely worked, though the washroom itself was clean. There was also an oversized cupboard taking up space in an already small room.

The staff weren’t arrogant, but the service was very poor. I ordered tea and nobody came in the evening. They didn’t call even once about cleaning or breakfast, either. The rooms felt suffocating, and the lift didn’t work properly, so avoid the top floors. Most of the popular TV channels weren’t working. I was completely disappointed with these OYO rooms, and there are much better options near the station.

The place was well maintained, with a pleasant ambience and good service for the money. Manager moin Khan was very helpful and polite.
