Hotel Plaza Inn

The hotel has a good-looking lobby, plenty of parking, fairly roomy rooms, and wide corridors. The facilities look impressive, but the actual service was far below an acceptable standard. Check-in was a frustrating start. My family was left waiting in the lobby while the process dragged on. Security seemed unaware and discourteous, and the front desk felt inefficient and unprofessional. It came across as a basic lack of hospitality training. The room was missing even simple things for a business hotel. There was no kettle, and we got just one sachet each of tea, coffee, and sugar. After I called reception, someone brought a kettle, but it had no power base or connecting cord, so I had to follow up again. Those repeated oversights showed poor attention and lack of readiness. The building may look good from the outside, but the way it is run needs urgent improvement in staff training, front desk efficiency, and basic service. Otherwise, guests will keep being disappointed despite the facilities.

Sir, I’m with Chennai Tambaram Travels. My guest checked in at your hotel today, and I’ve been driving for a long time. I’m staying overnight in my cab, which is fine, but there’s no bathroom, driver’s room, blanket, or other facility for me. Please treat drivers with respect. I’m human too. I request that you arrange some facility for drivers.

The rooms are clean and well kept, and there’s plenty of car parking. It’s also within walking distance of the railway station.

The bathroom was tidy, the hot water worked, the bed was clean, and reception was good. But there was no kettle or milk powder, I found small insects in the room, and the towel was too old.
