Hotel Vels Grand Inn

I asked to change rooms, but they refused even though a better room seemed to be available. They gave no explanation and made no effort to help. When I brought up the condition of the room, the staff were dismissive and showed no concern. The room smelled terrible and was filthy, with dusty surfaces and stained sheets. It felt as if it hadn't been cleaned properly in a long time. The bathroom was worse, with a dirty floor, an unclean toilet and grime. The towels looked reused and poorly washed, and it was uncomfortable even to go inside. Basic hygiene and guest respect were missing throughout. This was one of my most unpleasant stays, and I'd avoid the hotel unless you're willing to put up with dirty conditions and indifferent staff.

We couldn't sleep comfortably because the air conditioner had no proper controls, and the room smelled bad as soon as we entered. The room itself was tiny and cramped, with hardly any space to move, and the small bed was uncomfortable. For two adults and two children, it was completely unsuitable. The sheets were stained and torn, too. The bathroom was small, smelly and poorly cleaned, with no slippers provided. The surrounding area was dirty and felt unsafe and uncomfortable, especially with family. Staff weren't helpful or cooperative, and they didn't take complaints seriously or offer another solution. For the money, this wasn't worth it. Cleanliness, comfort and service were all lacking. I wouldn't recommend it, especially for families.

Avoid this place. The rooms aren't cleaned properly, the sheets are old, and there are mosquitoes everywhere. The photos are all edited, so it was a waste of money. If you still book, enjoy the mosquito ride and rashes. 🤦‍♂️

We booked in an emergency and had a good stay with our two kids. The room was neat, including the bed and bathroom, and the location was pretty good too.
